Dear Osaka University students
Due to the recent human-human infections of new type influenza at the nearby communities, Osaka University cancels all the lectures, student events or meetings, scheduled this week (May 17-May 24).
The most recent announcement is now updated in Japanese (http://www.osaka-u.ac.jp).
English version is not yet updated, so we at International Student Center will inform you some important points in this announcement.
All students, including international students, must refrain from coming to any of Osaka University campuses to attend classes, student events or meetings in the above period (May 17-May 24).
With regards to research activities, the announcement from Osaka University says that only those research activities which are not held in groups will be conducted as usual.
So we recommend you to consult your lab/kenkyushitu or your faculty.
Most of the university facilities, such as International Student Center (including IRIS, Toyonaka and Minoh Branch Offices) or Student Cafeterias, are closed.
Students must pay close attention to the newest information and guidelines announced by Osaka University with HP and KOAN, which will be updated with the development of situations.
For your information:
Avoid crowded places (trains etc.).
Wash your hands.
Wash your mouth.
Use masks if necessary.
If you feel ill, such as fever, use consult lines. Do not visit a hospital without notice.
